We will be running a Wire Garden Sculpture Workshop at Tia, on Thursday 19th September, 10am – 4pm. Cost per person £70, to include light lunch.  Booking essential by contacting Tia Rescue on 01302 772935. Payment required at time of booking.

Using simple tools and techniques, and with step by step guidance from Chris, you’ll learn how to make a wire garden sculpture of a hen, pheasant, or duck. No previous experience is necessary and all tools and materials are provided.  Gloves are also available but please wear practical clothing as wire can damage textiles, and wear closed shoes rather than sandals. An apron may be useful but not essential. The methods used involve hand/eye co-ordination similar to sewing, so please bring spectacles if you use them. Please also be aware that working with chicken wire involves repetitive wrist and finger movements through the day, and may be more of a challenge for anyone with joint problems. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any queries. The pace is focussed rather than leisurely but at the end of the day you’ll have your very own completed sculpture for the garden.
