We collected Ozzy from the kennels on Sunday morning. He was lifted into the car and was initially quite frightened – can’t blame him as he didn’t know who we were or where he was going. He stood up for about 10 minutes after we set off, then settled down for the duration of the journey. When we arrived at the Beach he was a bit out of sorts and would have wriggled out of his collar given half a chance. He was interested in watching everything that was going on, but considering the number of cars and people that were passing, he was pretty good. Once we made our way down to the beach for the walk he pulled on the lead a bit but then settled down. He was keen to watch the other dogs running around and playing but made no effort to head in their direction. He was very well behaved the entire time and was no bother at all. By the time we got back to the car, he was happy to be lifted back in and settled really quickly for the journey home. We didn’t hear a peep out of him for the duration of our trip back to kennels. He was a pleasure to take on the walk and I hope that the more he sees of the outside world the calmer and less fearful he will become. We are always impressed at how quickly the dogs settle down even though they are in strange surroundings.
Mystery boy who had been racing at Mullingar until a few months ago and then came here.
