Black bitch whelped 22.09.2013We collected Karri from the kennels on Sunday morning and once she was lifted into the car she settled down very quickly indeed and we didn’t hear a peep out of her. When we arrived at the beach and waiting for everyone to gather together for the walk she was a bit scared – I could feel her little body shaking but gave her a lot of reassuring words and little hugs. She was happy to stay close to my side while she took in the view of the beach from the car park. We all went down to the beach for the walk and Karri soon settled down. She didn’t seem to be phased by anything – she watched all the people and dogs running around on the beach but was easily distracted away from staring at them. She didn’t pull on the lead but was happy to walk ahead of me. Karri wasn’t worried by crossing all the little rivers of water running down to the sea and happily navigated the rocks and pebbles as we walked along. When we stopped to all have our picture taken she waited patiently but kept an eye on the close proximity of the sea behind us. By the time the walk had come to an end she was lifted back into the car and settled straight away for the journey home. Karri is very quiet and well behaved and isn’t any trouble in the car. Hope she gets to go on some more socialising walks and experience a bit of life away from kennels.
Raced at Youghal. two years ago. Probably been flapping
Karri could be a greyhound supermodel. She really works the camera and looks so good
