About

Villa Zander Og, d.o.b. 8.9.2016

A beautiful fawn brindle. Raced twice. Blew his career at Perry Barr on the last race when favourite. Got knows why as his first race did not justify even coming out of the van. He did well to make the racetrack as he was the only one registered from his litter.

Tucker is a big lad at 36kgs and needs an experienced dog owner as he is as keen as mustard and needs to be kept out of trouble. Needs to be out of here and finding his place in the world.

Tucker has now been with us for over 3 years. It is unlikely he is going anywhere anytime soon, but you never know.

About me

Part of the Sheffield 13 group and kept in the dark for years. Unregistered greyhounds and probably the children of Baby Belle, Polly Pocket or maybe Moo Mar. No doubt brother and sister; they are inseparable.

These two almost certainly ran at Askern flapping track. Having spent so long in the dark, they rely on each other and have to be re-homed as a pair. The staff have serious problems if they even lose sight of each other.

About eight years old now, if they had arrived here through normal channels they would not have even made the FB page. The world is a very scary place to them, and it looks increasingly certain that they will be under our wing for the rest of their lives.

Breed: Greyhound
Sex: Female

About me

Bells Echo        dob  09/08/2017

Kiona came to Tia at the ripe old age of 17 months. Although she was bred to race, she was absolutely terrified and didn’t even make it through schooling. She has been here for almost five years, and anything out of the ordinary results in her having serious panic attacks, the likes of which we have never seen before. She is absolutely fine in her own safe environment and is happily living with Vasco.

About me

When the Sheffield 13 arrived at Tia Rescue in December 2019. they were neglected and damaged. Wrecked emotionally and physically. We had four beautiful brothers who were never rehomed, they were just too broken.
Mr Mole, Terence, Eugene and Bungle.
We gave them forever sanctuary at Tia Rescue. These 4 beautiful hounds became sponsor dogs, like many before them.
Sadly we lost Eugene in 2021, Terence in 2022 and Mr Mole early in 2023. They were all loved immensely.
We still have Bungle, he is a lovely boy but still troubled. His eyes still full of sadness.

About me

Jayvees Star        dob 1.9.2014

Jay came to us at 4 years of age, after having a successful racing career at Romford and Doncaster. He has been rehomed a couple of times, but prefers the security of a kennel environment. He is no bother at all, but is a bit of a worry as he has breathing problems. We are keeping a close eye on him, as he does on us, especially at meal times. Jay loves his food!

About me

Great name! Drinksonthehouse whelped 10.8.15

Won 7 races at Tralee and Belle Vue. His last win at the latter was in a race called “Friends of Belle Vue we need your support”. That aged well. Vasco last raced in March 2019. For some reason, he just stopped dead in a race, although the writing had been on the wall with deteriorating form for a while. Came last in his final three races…..form reads 6, 6, 6. Sometimes you swear they know something! Maybe he’d just had a guts full.

Vasco trialled a couple of days later and failed to qualify. Arrived at Tia a week later in lovely nick. He is no fairy princess at 36 Kgs.

Vasco has been with us nearly 4 years. He won’t even go down into the big paddock unless Kiona is with him and even then he’s not overly happy about it. He loves his life, no fuss, no drama. A lovely quiet big lad.
