We need your help…..

We’re tin rattling at Lakeside shopping outlet on Sunday 17th December between 11 and 3.30. Several of our usual volunteers are unable to attend. So we need extra people to help.
Dandy and Bean will be joining us, so we expect to be busy. A brilliant opportunity to raise awareness and much needed funds. Please contact Janice …. thesimmonds@yahoo.com
If you can help for a couple of hours
Thank you

Tia Events for December

Tia staff and volunteers will be busy fundraising again in December, starting with this coming Saturday (2nd Dec) and the Christmas Craft and Activity Afternoon (14.00 to 16.00) at the kennels, plus a Tia stall at the Clarke Foley Christmas Fair (10.00 to 12.00) up in Ilkley.

One of our main annual fundraising events is on Sun 10th Dec from 11.00 to 15.00 at the kennels. Santa Paws will be in attendance. loads of craft and gift stalls. Not to be missed!

On Sat 16th Dec, we will be tin rattling in Huddersfield town centre outside Boots (festively-dressed hounds most welcome), as well as attending Marsden United Church Christmas Fair with a Tia stall.

And finally, we will be out again on Sun 17th Dec, tin rattling at Lakeside Village in Doncaster with Dandy and Beano (weather permitting). Please bring along your hounds in festive attire.

As always, please help us if you can. It’s quite simple, the more hounds there are, the more funds we raise. Contact details of the organiser of each event plus other details can be found on the Tia website Events Calendar.

A great Tia weekend for our fundraiser.

Thank you from all our Greyhounds Shires and Donkeys

A massive thank you to volunteers Avril and Ian who organised a mediumship evening last Thursday at Huddersfield Spiritualist Church…they raised a whopping £701.

Table top sale
We made £277.50 yesterday, as well as extra taken in the café – so not a bad result for our first foray into the world of Table Top sales.
Thank you to all the sellers and buyers who supported this event

Kennel Assistant Needed ASAP

We are still really short in the kennels. We need at least one new member of staff, possibly two.

It is a hard job which involves the cleaning of the kennels to a very high standard and most importantly looking after these beautiful dogs.

It is 4 days a week, on a rota and does include weekends. Own transport is essential.

Thanks Deb

Tia dog venue. Ideas please

After Xmas we are ripping out the Charity Shop at the farm. We have made the best of it for the past two and a half years but it is falling down.

It will be absolutely gorgeous when it’s finished, like our new shops in Halifax and Retford.

Wooden floors, scaffold board shelving and vintage apple crates.

We will still have a small selection of charity items to buy, but we are going down a more “shopping experience” route, for all your dogs, large and small.  We are already selling fantastic dog beds,  Bottom Sniffer dog beer and Pawseco, treats, collars and leads and a few coats.

We will also be opening up the new enclosed paddock. It will be open all day, every day for your dogs. It will be as you come into the farm on the right and will be away from the greyhound paddocks.

What would you like to see in the shop?
