Opposite sides of the coin

Rescuers and activists..

Or just me, Nat and Manda from Northern Greyhound Rescue and Aileen and Trudy from Greytexploitations….

All doing our best in the ways we know how…

Sad

Although yesterday was a fantastic day it was, as always, tinged with sadness.

A veterinary practice rang from Derbyshire as everyone was arriving. An injured greyhound boy, would we take him and pay for his treatment. Of course.

They tried their best to get him, they tried really hard.

The trainers response? NO PUT HIM TO SLEEP..

He knew that dog could have had a life but he chose to kill him….That’s 4 i know of in the last 3 weeks…So whilst all your beautiful dogs were having a lovely time being spoilt rotten, rightly so, and the kennel dogs were snoozing after their lunch, one greyhound boy was not so lucky yesterday….

The racing industry and the RGT keep banging on about all the dogs are being rehomed, well what an absolute load of rubbish, the problem of welfare is no better than it was 21yrs ago…and that makes me sad,  because no matter how hard i try it will never be enough…

Sleep well lad..

Harrogate Buddhist Center, Kadgu Dechen Dzong

Dear Debs,
Just to let you know I have made a donation on behalf of the Harrogate Buddhist Center, Kadgu Dechen Dzong today.
We had a fund raiser walk on Saturday 29th July. A walk at Ribblehead Viaduct/Whernside. £150 of the donations that day was a donation for Tia Rescue.
We had a fun day. I have attached some pictures of the day. The walk was a bit steep for the likes of Keats,  but we did have a four legged team member called Scoot as you will see in the pictures attached.
Kindest regards,
Katie
Thank you everyone. Thank you.
