Lily was Selina

Hi All,

Picture of Lilly (Selina) on a walk in the Lakes this afternoon. Our first holiday with Lilly!
All the best,

After a hard day helping Mum make cider, Lizzie has earned the Paul Mckenna (leave something on the plate) portion of her cream tea. Lizzie also coursed a rabbit around the orchard for good measure. Very tired old lady this evening.

At last – a sponsor for Chester & Millie

At last Chester & Millie have found their first ever sponsor. A friend of Cameron’s read about them on our ‘Sponsor needed’ heading on the website and wanted to support them in memory of Cameron. It is much appreciated by everyone here.

As with all our sponsor animals, Chester & Millie are very much in need of sponsors to help pay for their food, vet bills and general care.

Sorry to remind you, but, Christmas is only just around the corner. So, why not sponsor one of our animals as a present for someone. We have two sponsor schemes, 1 year at a cost of £52 and 6 months at a cost of £26. You can download a sponsor form from the website, pick up a sponsor form in our shops, or use the Paypal link on the website. You can sponsor any of the animals on our ‘Sponsor needed’ page. Alternatively on our ebay site you can sponsor Blythe or Bluebell for 1 month for £10.

It is the perfect gift – for our animals AND your people!!

Why not sort your present list out now and sponsor a dog or two or even more. Do it now to avoid the rush and if you say it is for Christmas everything will be sent out in December in time for Christmas. Any special messages can be included and the sponsor pack can be sent to your own address or to the recipient’s address, whichever is easiest for you.

If you have any queries about sponsoring please email our Sponsor Scheme Volunteer, Marion, at or ring her, on 0113 2565731. She will be very happy to help.

Remember we see many disturbing, upsetting scenes in the course of the work we do. When it comes to the welfare of defenceless animals people can be truly horrible!

But, people can also be truly wonderful. Be wonderful . . .be a sponsor.
